If you are drawn to idea of setting an intention for your coming year or season, have always been a little confused or overwhelmed when asked to set an intention in class, or simply just want to give it a try; here is a simple way to get started.
With the winter holidays upon, the options for creative movement and play are endless. So I decided to combine one of my favorite holiday movies with some yoga play. (Plus I love any excuse to drink hot coco.)
"You read that correctly: this post is a love letter written directly to you, my dear sweet reader friend. Because I know you. You hesitate to go to a yoga class because you’re not good enough or flexible enough or strong enough. Or maybe you don’t have enough time or can’t find the right yoga outfit or you can’t afford the fancy mat. Or maybe you’re afraid you’ll feel out of place in a yoga class or that you, like me, feel like maybe you’re imposter here. I feel this way all of the time, friend. All. of. the. time."
I wanted to share my go-to seated spinal sequence. It is perfect for beginners or as a warm up or wind down. Try it and let me know how you feel!
So far this year I have been able to attend 3 different yoga festivals across the state. Each festival was amazing and fulfilling in their own ways and I just wanted to chat a little bit about them here.
